Andrew qualified from the university of Glasgow in 1978 with distinction awards in Biochemistry, Conservative Dentistry, Orthodontics and Prosthodontics. Following this he completed his Post Graduation in Orthodontics in 1989. He spent 7 years in General Dental Practice, gaining extensive experience in routine and Cosmetic Dentistry.
He returned to the hospital service to specialise in Orthodontics and gained his Orthodontic Degrees in 1988 and 1989. After this he progressed to do higher specialist training and Consultant accreditation completing this in 1992. Andrew was appointed as Senior Lecture/Consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He gained widespread knowledge and expertise in the treatment and management of children with severe facial deformity and with very difficult medical problems, working alongside many other dental and medical specialists in larger multidisciplinary teams to provide the best treatment available.
Andrew has undertaken a large body of research into Facial Deformity and achieved a PH.D. from the University of London. He has lectured Nationally and Internationally and has many published and recognised papers in the International Literature. He is named in the Who’s Who of Medicine and Science and Engineering for his contributions to the Speciality.
Andrew invested his vast experience and passion for orthodontics into Enhance Orthodontics when he founded it in 1995. Setting up his own practice gave Andrew the opportunity to offer specialist led treatments to the community. Now in 2017 this is a well-established and highly respected clinic with the addition of another large practice in Rochester.
